<p>Steens creates a magical in-between world full of rituals, shadow play, and imagination, inspired by Dré Wapenaar's idea to see the columns in the Theaterstraat as a forest.&nbsp;</p><p>Together with children and friendly artists, he is building a new fictional tribe that lives between the columns of the theatre. The exhibition can be visited from 18 July to 21 August. There are various workshops for children, and on 22 August the final ceremony will take place.</p>&nbsp;

This summer, artist Bas Steens is in residence at the Chassé Theater with the project Modern Ancient Forest Tribe, inspired by the Boomtenten of Dré Wapenaar.
