The Amsterdam band MICH blends elements of new wave, shoegaze, krautrock, and pop, combining melancholic lyrics with shimmering guitar melodies into a mix of sad pop and cheerful wave.
 
This spring, MICH released a new album. It sounds completely like you would expect from them. Think of wet snow in spring, broken eggshells on the pavement, or raising a glass in a toast. You understand: MICH has spring fever, but in their own, unique way.
 
The fourth album is called ‘Chair’, and once again was made in complete isolation from each other. No consultation, no explanations. MICH probably remains the least talkative band in the Netherlands. The music on this record sounds more suffocating, fuller, and richer than their previous work. The lyrics are about getting older but still remaining the same, about resistance to change and against the pressure to always adapt.
