Lievense Live: Tight Barrels & Anna van Zon

Tight Barrel is an energetic indie pop/rock band from Eindhoven, formed at the Rock City Institute. With sparkling guitars, powerful rhythms and infectious melodies, the band creates music that resonates immediately with young adults. The evocative lyrics of singer and guitarist Sef Wolfs deal with new responsibilities, challenges and everyday situations that come with growing up. These themes are packaged in a lighthearted way in a fresh, danceable sound reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats and The Backseat Lovers.

During live shows, Tight Barrel surprises the audience with an explosion of energy, turning each venue into a place where listeners can find their own story. Together with guitarists Robin van Casteren and Mathijs Snellen, bassist Yorick van Tetering and drummer Rick van der Zanden, the band creates a recognisable and contemporary indie sound that is both joyful and powerful.

Anna van Zon is an emerging Dutch-language pop and chanson artist. Together with her band, she writes songs where emotions and storytelling are central. Live performances are often supplemented with melodic, sometimes experimental backing tracks where singing together is prominent. Anna and her band met at the Rock City Institute in Eindhoven, where they discovered their shared love for music. Next spring, they will be heading into the studio to record their first album.
