Lievense Live: JPK BluesBand

The JPK Band brings their energetic blues rock show to Café Lievense.

Information

The JPK Band is a renowned blues rock band that interprets both original work and classics by blues rock legends, always infused with their characteristic JPK touch.

In 2000, singer and guitarist Jan Pieter Kuijten founded the band. It became a powerful three-piece with its own repertoire, firmly rooted in authentic Rhythm & Blues and Blues rock. They quickly gained stages at home and abroad and won the hearts of audiences at numerous festivals and music cafes.

Their debut album Knife and Gun was released in May 2002 and contained eight original tracks. Since then, their oeuvre has exploded: a second album (Driving My Car), a third (Bamboozle), both with eleven original tracks, and a fourth album currently in production.

Performances by the JPK Band are guaranteed to deliver passion, energy, and interaction with the audience, often culminating in a big celebration. Together with bassist Patrick Frijters and drummer Jan Keuter, Kuijten forms a unique blues rock trio with an unmistakable own sound.

Besides their own material, they also perform songs by their heroes – including Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, ZZ Top, and Ten Years After – always with that recognizable JPK touch.
