Lecture: The life of René van Chalon

The course leaders of Historic Breda, Marcel and Gerald Dalinghaus, will give a lecture about René van Chalon. They will discuss both the historical context and the family relationships of René, including the origin of the name Van Oranje. The story of the very first Prince of Orange-Nassau is brought back to life during this lecture.

The lecture will be held on 8 and 22 February. To ensure your place, please reserve online in advance. On the day itself, you can purchase your ticket at the counter.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to taste a specially brewed René van Chalon beer (for a fee). The price is € 5 per person and includes access to the exhibition René I’m Still Standing – About love and loss. A separate ticket for the exhibition is therefore not necessary.
