Lecture: public space, slums, alleys and corridors

The municipality of Breda recently published its vision for the public space 2040. This document serves as the basis for contributions from Councillor Jeroen Bruijns and Clementine Simons, public space strategist at the municipality of Breda. They are happy to engage in a conversation with those present about this vision document.

After the break, Toon Oomen will speak. This architect and member of The Golden Circle was previously a guest to talk about Breda's street pattern, the oldest monument of our city. He is working on a book about this subject.
One of the less well-known parts of our street layout is the collection of slums, alleys, and passages in the historic city centre. We often pass by them absent-mindedly. After Toon’s story, you will see this 'back side' of the city in a different light.
