Marc Permeke gives two presentations about the work of his famous grandfather: Constant Permeke – Master of Simplicity. In a two-part series, he discusses the life and developments in his grandfather's painting career.

About Constant Permeke
Constant Permeke is one of the most famous Belgian painters of the 20th century. The focus is on the human being and their relationship with nature. In the 1920s, there was a breakthrough for Constant Permeke in the international art world. 

Once established in Jabbeke, he directed his attention to the West Flanders farming community and the emotional charge became even more intense. In May, the Museum Club will visit this museum in Jabbeke. 

The pinnacle of his work was the large retrospective exhibition in Paris in 1947–48. Constant Permeke passed away on 4 January 1952.
