Laurie Wright in MEZZ

The energetic guitar playing of Laurie Wright and his storytelling songwriting make him one of the most promising new voices in the British rock scene.
Laurie Wright moved to London at the age of nineteen, where he worked hard to refine his songwriting skills. He now has more than 300 songs to his name.
In 2020, he formed his band, which started with street performances in Camden. Within two years, they had built an impressive and loyal following. The release of their first album, ‘Get On The End Of It’, was quickly followed by a sold-out show at Camden Underworld. Meanwhile, the band played a sold-out UK tour and supported acts such as The Rifles and The Libertines. Their second album, ‘We’re Only Warming Up’, was released, showcasing Laurie’s talent for storytelling songwriting combined with energetic guitar parts and melodic strength. In 2024, the band reached a peak with a sold-out performance at Scala, followed by a successful European tour of sold-out shows, concluding the year triumphantly and indicating that 2025 looks very promising.
