KOPCafé x Breda Barst: Festival Art
Information
During this edition, right in the middle of the festival site, KOPcafé will discuss art at festivals such as Lowlands, the role of performance and how participation creates new encounters between artists and enthusiastic festivalgoers.
Already at Breda Barst? Then join the KOPCafé for an inspiring conversation with our artists! Coming especially for the KOPCafé? You can then round off the evening with a visit to one of Breda’s best (and free) festivals.
With a mirror, you will set off individually and leave your thoughts on paper for others to read.
Programme:
16:45 – 17:00: Doors open
17:00 – 17:05: Opening
17:05 – 17:25: Yasser Ballemans talks about his artworks and installations for, among others, Lowlands.
17:25 – 17:40: Lize Maekelberg takes you through the creative process behind her art cart for ECHO, KOP’s project in which artists create art together with (former) homeless people. With her art cart, Lize cycles to various locations in Breda to meet new people and create work together.
17:40 – 17:55: Theatre-maker Juup Luijten works as an artistic director on various theatre projects and is also active as a performer at festivals. During this afternoon, Juup will offer a glimpse into his experiences and tell you more about the world behind the scenes.
17:55 – 18:10: Iris Bekkers briefly talks about her installation for Dutch Design Week, after which visitors can take part themselves. 18:10 – 18:15 | Closing
18:15 – 00:00: Enjoy the music, art and atmosphere of Breda Barst.
Registration is not required, but is appreciated. You can register via the KOP website.
