Kain is a tragicomedy directed by Gabriel Bauer, in which the boundless, fearless autistic Kain (played by Daniël Gellvoet) tries to find his way in a world that often does not understand who he is. 

He is determined to prove that he is capable of doing the same as others: living independently, working, and obtaining his driving license. When he meets the love of his life, his desire to connect with the normal world around him comes to a head, and the question arises: What is actually normal? Kain is a film for everyone who has ever felt like an outsider. 

The story challenges viewers to understand another person's experienced world and asks them, just like Kain, to accept themselves.
