IVN Nature Walk Pluk Route Princenhage, Breda
Information
The Plukroute is a 3.5-kilometre walking trail through neighbourhoods and parks in Princenhage. Along the route, there are fruit trees, shrubs, and flowers with information about their names and harvest times. When the time comes, visitors are allowed to pick fruit.
Between 2017 and April 2025, 5,633 perennial plants, 138 trees, and 3,729 shrubs have been planted. The initiators hope to raise awareness about the importance and beauty of nature. The route is also designed to promote biodiversity. To help wild bees and other pollinators, different types of nectar plants grow along the Plukroute. There is a wide variety of flowers blooming throughout the year.
INV guides will take you along part of the route and figuratively let you taste nature. They tell you about planted trees and shrubs, as well as what naturally occurs in this area. Along the way, we meet staff members of the Plukroute who will literally let you taste the produce of their project.
At the beginning and end of the walk, you can see and hear much more about nature in general and this Princenhage initiative in particular at the stalls of the IVN and the Plukroute.
Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registering, you will receive information about the starting point. The walk begins at 10:00 AM and lasts until approximately 12:00 PM.
