IVN - Nature Trail Seterse Bergen, Oosterhout
Information
What do you hear? What do you smell? What do our hands tell us about the trees around us? What do our feet reveal about the ground we walk on? What can be tasted in the forest? During this walk, we give our eyes rest and activate our other senses. This allows us to connect with nature in a completely different way.
The guides have experience in leading people with a visual impairment, making this walk suitable for them too. Sighted people and those with a visual impairment meet and set out together to taste the nature. Participants who need assistance must arrange a buddy themselves.
The Seterse Bergen are part of the Dorst forest ranger area and consist of a relatively young mixed forest, about 60 years old. About 10 years ago, a 15-hectare area was excavated to promote the development of heather. The excavated area is expected to develop into wild, rugged nature: lots of sand with small hills, poor soil, and heather. The area is highly varied in elevation: the height ranges between 5 and 15 meters above NAP. Registration is possible up until the day of the walk. After registering, you will receive information about the starting point.
