Old Drimmelen is located on the border of Brabant, on the tight division between sand and clay. Not much remained of the village after the St. Elizabeth flood in 1421, but the old cemetery is still there. We pass through the nature reserve De Worp where peat was extracted until 1850, resulting in noticeable height differences in the landscape. This farmland with nature offers plenty of variety: open polders with flower-rich field edges, creeks with osier beds, reed beds with nesting places for birds. Bring your own lunch, good walking shoes, rainwear if necessary, and don't forget your binoculars!Registration is possible until the day of the walk.
