IVN Familiewandeling in de Duiventoren
Information
On Sunday, 19 October, the nature guides of IVN Mark & Donge are organizing a playful autumn walk through the forest, especially for children aged 5 to 15, accompanied by an adult.
During this discovery tour, children will learn interactively about the fruits and seeds of trees and shrubs. From various types of acorns and chestnuts to helicopter seeds, pine cones, and berries, everything will be covered. How do these seeds disperse? And why do they want to get as far as possible from the parent plant? With illustrations, demonstrations, games, and stories, children will discover how plants prepare for winter.
The autumn forest is full of surprises. Many animals gather food to survive the cold months, and there are sometimes treats for humans too: beech nuts, hazelnuts, sweet chestnuts, and edible berries. But beware: not all berries are suitable for eating. Some are too sour, tasteless, or even toxic. During the walk, children will learn what is safe and what is not.
Practical information
The walk starts at 1:30 PM and lasts until approximately 3:30 PM. Registration is possible until the day itself. After registering, you will receive information about the departure location.
More information and the registration form can be found on the IVN Mark & Donge website under the Activities section.
Join us on an adventure and experience autumn with all your senses!
