IVN Bird walk Zaartpark

IVN links this walk to the annual garden bird count. You won’t be counting during this walk because it’s a garden survey, but IVN aims to refresh and improve your bird knowledge  
Remember the differences between a house sparrow and a hedge sparrow? How do we distinguish a blue tit from a coal tit? Which species can we encounter in gardens? Don’t forget your binoculars! 

Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registering, you will receive information about the starting point. 

National Garden Bird Count
Of course, we all enjoy watching birds in our garden or on the balcony. However, we can also make a useful contribution by counting these birds for half an hour. Every year, over one hundred thousand people participate in the National Garden Bird Count organised by BirdProtection Netherlands. 
This year, it takes place from 30 January to 1 February. The information gathered helps to better protect the birds.  More information and the registration form can be found on the IVN Mark & Donge website under Activities.
