Information evening: Volunteering: where do you start?

Do you want to make a difference for someone else or yourself? Meet new people? Or simply do something that makes you happy? Then voluntary work might be just right for you! Perhaps you sometimes think about volunteering, but it raises questions/thoughts for you: “I don’t know where to look” “I want to, but I don’t have much time…” “I’m not sure if I can…” “Later I’ll be stuck somewhere again…” “Is there something that suits me?”

On Wednesday evening, 24 September, there will be an information session at MOOIWERK at the office. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, you'll get to know the world of volunteering. Please note: this session is exploratory. This means that MOOIWERK does not pair you one-on-one with an organisation or ‘help’ you find volunteering work. Instead, you’ll have the space to ask questions and discover what it could mean for you.

Program of 24 September:

• 19:15 – 19:30: arrival
• 19:30:  welcome/opening
• 19:45: short presentation on ‘why volunteer?’ (what it brings you)
• 20:00: short presentation on types of volunteering (sectors, flexible, target groups)
• 20:15: workshop tables (different rounds where you can discuss themes such as the vacancy bank, discovering your talent, tips for applying, and more)
• 21:10: chat with experienced volunteers over a drink (tip: here you get the chance to have a professional photo taken by photographer Ad. Perfect for your CV!)
• 21:30: closing and departure
