Gruppo Sportivo | Stop Motion - The 50th Anniversary Tour

In 2026 Gruppo Sportivo celebrates half a century of music history. It is also the year in which the band, originally from The Hague, will farewell with a final tour across music venues and festivals.

The line-up is led by the distinctive frontman and creative force Hans Vandenburg, flanked by the vocalists Lies Schilp and Inge Bonthond, better known as the Bombitas. On keyboards is the young talent Len de Quant, who in 2024 took over from his mentor and the early deceased Peter Calicher. Of course, original member and drummer Max Mollinger and bassist Tim Barning are also part of the band.

During this anniversary tour, audiences can look forward to classic Nederpop hits such as Hey Girl, Beep Beep Love, Disco Really Made It, Tokyo and Rock ’n Roll. But, as always, Gruppo Sportivo will also surprise with quirky, inventive choices from their extensive repertoire – a fitting final chord for a legendary band.
