Groenfestival Breda at Boerderij Wolfslaar

During the Groenfestival, you'll discover how you can contribute to a greener living environment yourself.

Due to climate change, it is becoming hotter, especially in cities, with longer periods of drought and heavier rainfall.  
It is also becoming more difficult for pollinating insects to survive, even though they are incredibly important in providing us with enough food. In short, water, greenery, and biodiversity are essential to keep our city livable.

Three themes, dozens of initiatives

The festival site is divided into three zones, where local organisations, entrepreneurs, and residents' initiatives present themselves. You will find practical information, workshops, products, and concrete tips to get started yourself.

Green: plants, cuttings, and tile swapping. 
Water: how to disconnect rainwater and why water collection is becoming increasingly important. 
Biodiversity: healthy soils, insects, planting, and chemical-free gardening.

In addition, there will be live music, street theatre, local delicacies, and various walks organised, including a tour of Warmoezerij Wolfslaar, wild foraging walks, and scavenger hunts for small creatures.
