Great Yellowtail in MEZZ

Chaos orchestrated in such a way that it only continues to intensify, to the brim. With harsh sounds and even harsher time signatures, a live show emerges that feels as oppressive and claustrophobic as a fish out of water. Grote Geelstaart captivates the audience with manic danceable compositions that are live-melded into a cohesive whole. Nothing remains of the neat shirts and ties they enter every stage with but the semblance of a bunch of tidy boys. 

The band performed in summer 2025 at various festivals including Valkhof, Into The Great Wide Open and Hit The City. With the release of their debut EP ‘Van Reijnst,’ they toured the country at a high pace during Popronde and wrapped up at the MAX during the closing party at Melkweg. 2026 began with a successful show in the Bovenzaal during Noorderslag. On 17 April, the band released ‘Vracht 7,’ the first single leading up to their next EP ‘Wij Zinken.’ The single appears at the start of a busy festival summer with confirmed spots at Best Kept Secret, Dauwpop and Oerol in the Netherlands. In addition, they will play on multiple dates in Germany, Belgium, and Portugal. After the festival season, their second EP, ‘Wij Zinken,’ will be released on 18 September. With this EP in hand, they return to Breda!
