About Fréderike Geerdink
Fréderike Geerdink (1970) has been working as a journalist for over thirty years. During her work as a correspondent in Turkey and Kurdistan, Geerdink often heard that she was "too activist." This made her ponder: what is journalism actually supposed to do? In her manifesto All journalism is activism, she explains that journalism, in her view, always aims to bring about change in the public interest.
