Peter Buwalda is coming to Filmhuis Botanique for an afternoon filled with discussion, film, and meeting about his new novel De Jaknikker.

On Sunday 9 November 2025, Filmhuis Botanique in Breda welcomes writer Peter Buwalda for a cosy afternoon full of literature and film. In connection with his new novel De Jaknikker, he will be in conversation with discussion leader Grietje Braaksma. After the interview, there will be a Q&A session with the audience and a signing session.
Following this, the cinema will screen Buwalda’s choice of film: Django Unchained by Quentin Tarantino (2012). The afternoon will end with a friendly drinks reception, including house-made bitterballen.
A unique opportunity to meet Buwalda, discover his sources of inspiration, and discuss film and literature together.
