Few Bits in MEZZ

After nine years of silence, Few Bits returns with a dreamy, sunny album full of melodic guitar pop and poetic reflections on fantasy, desire, and reality

Information

Nine years after the album ‘Big Sparks’, a new record will be released in 2025 by Few Bits, the dream pop band around Karolien Van Ransbeeck.

After their debut in 2013, things happened quickly. The band The War On Drugs invited Karolien to support them on various tours. She opened for The Lemonheads and played at major festivals such as Pukkelpop and SXSW. The record contains vivid reflections on the present and the past, where imagination and longing intersect. The lyrics blur the thin line between fantasy and reality and seem cryptic, but for Karolien, they have a clear meaning. Despite the bittersweet undertone, the sound is anything but gloomy. The new record might be the most refreshing and sunnily sounding album by Few Bits to date. It is a beautiful example of the melodic guitar pop music of the band and marks their return after a hiatus.
