Feest! Cantabile Jubilee Concert

As an extra festive element, the choir Vox Bohemica from Český Brod near Prague will come to Breda. The two choirs will sing the Magnificat by John Rutter together. The title of the concert Feest! speaks for itself during this 70th anniversary of Cantabile Breda.

The Programme 
The programme not only features celebratory music, but Cantabile has also invited a guest choir: Vox Bohemica conducted by Tomáš Charvát. With this choir, Cantabile sang in Český Brod exactly one year ago during the choir trip of May 2025. Together, the two choirs will perform Rutter's Magnificat; 80 singers accompanied by the 21-piece Brabant Sinfonia orchestra and soprano soloist Kathelijn van Dongen. 

About Vox Bohemica 
Vox Bohemica is a mixed choir from Český Brod in the Czech Republic, just east of Prague, consisting of nearly 50 members. 

About the composition 
Thanks to the participation of students from the local music school, the choir has a constant influx of young singers, with ages ranging from 13 to 75 years. Under the leadership of the passionate conductor Tomáš Charvát, the choir performs a major work once every two years, often calling on other regional choirs for support.
