Companies like Kwatta, De Etna, De Faam, Drie Hoefijzers, De Suikerfabriek, De Machinefabriek Breda, the electrical engineering factory Electron, Hero, Enka Breda, and many others have had a significant impact on the Breda society, both socially, culturally, and politically.The exhibition showcases how many people from Breda have worked in these factories, often spanning multiple generations. Work was passed down from father to son and from mother to daughter. The contributions of first and second generation migrant workers are also highlighted, as they formed a significant part of the success of these companies.Visitors gain insight into the personal stories of the people who spent many years on the shop floor. The Stadspodium of Nieuwe Veste presents the exhibition Summer Gems this summer. From 19th July to 15th September, you can enjoy this unique exhibition. Summer Gems is known for its call to the city: everyone from Breda can participate in the exhibition!
