About Life and Balance
“Life is not a sad pond, Life is a magic ball!” These lines of poetry by Toon Hermans were recently encountered by Miriam Tanke during a period when she often pondered the fact that her mother used to sing loudly during her toddler years: “Life is a sad pond.” Miriam took this very seriously at the time, as it was accompanied by a ‘less than warm-hearted religious upbringing,’ which she can now often (not always…) say with friendly humour.

Probably recognisable to many!? Miriam feels, like many others, increasingly encouraged to use her imagination to make life, both inside and out, a little lighter, no matter how difficult that may be, in this ‘calamity sphere’.
