Evening walk with guide through the Markdal

Marijke is guide at Gilde de Baronie. She can tell you everything about the beautiful plants, waters, meadows, and birds present there. You will also look at the stork's nest on the chimney of the Staatsbosbeheer office. 

After a walk, you will watch the sun set. You don’t have to go far... Breda is truly beautiful!             

What will you do? 
In one and a half to two hours, you will explore the surroundings of the Markdal together. The guide will tell you more about nature around you. It’s a walk with a story. You will gain knowledge of everything you encounter along the way. 

Where? 
The Markdal lies like a green wall against the city of Breda. From nowhere, you find yourself in an ancient forest rich in history, plants, and animals. Walk from narrow paths to open beech avenues, across heather fields, past deciduous trees, and through a dark coniferous forest. 
Meet at the Car Park of Brabants Waterschap, Bouvignelaan 5. 

Who can join? 
Anyone interested in getting to know the walking guild and who loves exploring nature. Children aged 12 and over are also very welcome. 

Note: The most important thing is that you have your mobile phone with you. During the walk, you will also walk on unpaved paths. This means the walk is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with a rollator.
