Under the artistic direction of Yusaku Mochizuki, YOAH was born out of a moment of reflection. Yusaku Mochizuki draws his inspiration from legendary Japanese monuments, such as the Ōsawa pond and the Daikaku-ji temple in Kyoto. The moon, which plays an important role in Japanese culture, symbolizes renewal and hope. Every act in the show revolves around this theme. Contortionists (snake people), trapeze artists, diabolists and a range of other performers take you to a timeless Japanese realm, surrounded by the enchanting and mystical universe of YOAH.
