It is 1953. The Van Kampen family is on their way in their van for their very first trip to the Efteling. But then they get stranded by the side of the road. No mobile phones, no help. What now? They tell a story. The story of Joris and the Dragon.

In the kingdom, there is panic. The king tries to satisfy a hungry dragon with weekly offers of sheep. But the sheep are gone. The dragon now wants children — young girls. All names are put into a box. The first name that comes out? Princess Rosalie.

Then Joris steps into action. Along with Rosalie, he decides to defeat the dragon. But is that possible? Can they do it together?
