Eeniedereen invites you to make contact. Sometimes you are lost, lost something, the way is lost, you are lost yourself. But after being lost comes finding, like what comes after rain. Let yourself be touched by the gaze of a stranger, a moment of recognition and the realization that you truly perceive each other. 

Eeniedereen arises from those small, accidental encounters that give your day new meaning. Step into the new installation by Schippers&VanGucht in the forecourt of the Chassé Theater. A space of five by seven meters, where video, music, vibrations, and live performance come together for a small encounter with twelve others.

This brief experience of twenty minutes is about duckweed, rain, you replacing me, hardening, embracing, holding – that this is important – strangers, melting, eyes, and a mirror.

Schippers&VanGucht is known for their work that connects, moves, and provokes thought. With previous installations such as Warnet, De Volle Vuilkar, and ODE, they consistently create inviting and surprising encounters.

Eeniedereen is no exception. It does not symbolize the world, but your own inner room. You discover how limited your view can be, until you stand eye to eye with others and your horizon widens. In a time when many feel invisible, this installation emphasizes the importance of being seen. Just as children shout "Mom! Look!", every person longs for that look of recognition and connection.
