Drum clinic by Stef Broks | Drummer from Textures

Stef is known for his technical and energetic playing style, in which rock and metal come together with complex rhythms and polyrhythms. His drumming has already earned him the title of Best Metal Drummer from Slagwerkkrant five times. Alongside his work with Textures, he teaches at institutions including Codarts Rotterdam and the Metal Factory in Eindhoven.

During the one-and-a-half-hour clinic, Stef will take you through his approach to playing. He will talk about complex rhythms, unusual time signatures, polyrhythms and powerful grooves, and, of course, demonstrate live behind the drum kit how he uses these techniques. His new Polymath Drumbook will also be covered.

The clinic is organised in collaboration with Drumschool Mark Eeftens, Drumschool Peter Scheffer and Lucifers Slagwerk.

Doors open at 2.30 pm and the clinic starts at 3.00 pm.
