Van Hoorne Studios has been touching audiences with their fairy tale musicals for years. After winning the Musical Award for Best Family Musical in 2022 and 2023, this production promises to be an unforgettable experience.

In a distant kingdom, a princess is born who smells as delicious as roses: Sleeping Beauty. Her birth is celebrated with a grand party, but the clumsy wizards Thibalt and Corry are not invited. Out of spite, they cast a curse: on her 21st birthday, Sleeping Beauty will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall into an eternal sleep.

The kingdom falls into panic and bans all spinning wheels. Doornroosje grows up under the care of three loving godmothers and good fairies. On her 21st birthday, she is crowned queen. But once again, Thibalt and Corry are not invited to the ball. They sneak in secretly and give her an enchanted spinning wheel. Doornroosje – and the entire court – falls into a deep sleep. Will someone be able to break the enchantment?
