Disorder of My Life - Chassé Theater

Sometimes you arrive exactly at the wrong place at the right time. Or vice versa. That’s how it feels for Jasper (played by Alex Klaasen), who happens to have autism. But that’s not what this show is about. For Jasper, life is one big musical: wonderfully predictable, with fixed patterns and (most importantly) guaranteed a happy ending. Until his mother (Sylvia Poorta), director of his life, suddenly passes away and his 'successful' brother (Jim Bakkum/Soy Kroon) decides to rewrite the script entirely.

Of course with the best intentions, but without realising that he’s actually the one who is completely out of tune. Because who actually determines what is 'normal'?

In this whirlwind, disarming, and refreshingly honest musical comedy, Jasper must not only save himself but also free his brother from the limiting thought: that you know what is good for someone else. With live music, sparkling choreographies, and a star-studded cast to feast on: Alex Klaasen, Jim Bakkum/Soy Kroon, Kim-Lian van der Meij/Noortje Herlaar, Sylvia Poorta, Dennis Willekens, Julia Lammerts, Iris Bakker, and Martijn Kardol.

Just as versatile and unpredictable as the spectrum itself. Störung or my Life is a musical that proves everything is already good as it is... even if you sometimes have to put on a whole Broadway show to realise it.

P.S. For control freaks: This musical lasts exactly 2 hours and 42 minutes, including a break. Don’t be late. Jasper doesn’t like it. And neither does Alex.
