Courtney Marie Andrews at de Waalse Kerk

The American singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews is known as an artist who continually challenges herself with songs that find a new balance between folk and Americana each time. She is rightly compared to Emmylou Harris and Joni Mitchell. 

Her new album ‘Valentine’ is an album about the pursuit of love. The album feels elegant, disciplined, balanced, vulnerable and human.’ ‘Valentine’ is also Andrews' most sonically exploratory album. She plays the flute, high-tuned guitars, numerous synthesizers, and draws much inspiration from her art outside of music. 

Andrews is a lively poet and a skilled painter, and in ‘Valentine’ you can feel how these disciplines are intertwined, with everything contributing to the beauty and clarity of everything else. 

On tour: Waalse Kerk. MEZZ presents this concert in cooperation with the Waalse Kerk. The concert has only seats and will take place in the Waalse Kerk.
