Programme Tuesday 30 JuneTuesday 30 June commemorates the slavery past. At 17:00, a dialogue table begins, facilitated by Angellisa Wong-A-Soy. Join in and discuss the history of slavery and its continuing influence in the present and future. During the dialogue, you will also be offered heri heri, a traditional Surinamese dish made of fried fish and cooked root vegetables such as cassava and potato.Participation in the dialogue table costs €7.50. Register via the Chassé Theatre. The remaining programme starts at 19:00. This is free to attend.The evening will be hosted by Dr. Peggy Brandon, a project coordinator at the National Slave Museum in Amsterdam. There will also be lectures by Dave Ensberg-Kleijkers (chairman of NiNsee), Mayor Paul Depla, and others. Programme Wednesday 1 JulyWednesday 1 July celebrates the abolition of slavery. Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes from various cuisines and diverse performances. Anuana Maro, Marto House Band, Moksi Lobi, and others will perform throughout the day. It promises to be a day full of culture and gathering for young and old!

Foundation Commemoration Abolition of Slavery Breda also organises this year a Keti Koti / Dia di Abolishon remembrance and celebration at the Chassé Theatre.
