On Wednesday, 1st July, Filmhuis Botanique Breda pauses to reflect on Keti Koti, the day commemorating and celebrating the abolition of slavery. With stories, films, music, and gatherings, a program is presented for young and old, around themes of freedom, connection, and shared history.Storyteller Winston Scholsberg takes visitors into the world of Anansi the Spider. Writer Karin Amatmoekrim will discuss with Grietje Braaksma. Additionally, the films Monikondee and Hoe duur was de suiker will be screened. The evening will be musically accompanied by Humphry Wonder.
