Clan of Xymox
The Nijmegen band Clan of Xymox, formed in 1981 by Ronny Moorings, combines darkwave, gothic rock and synthpop. With their debut Subsequent Pleasures and the album Clan of Xymox (featuring the classic A Day), they established a firm place in the international gothic/darkwave scene. Despite changing line-ups, Moorings remains the consistent driving force. To this day, the band remains influential and active within the genre.

The Essence
The Rotterdam-based band The Essence, founded in 1984, blends the melancholy of The Cure with the atmosphere of Pink Floyd. With hits like The Cat and A Mirage, and albums such as Purity and Glow, they built a cult following, and their music videos were featured on MTV. Over three decades later, the band remains relevant, with remasters and new releases continuing to cement their legacy.

DARKER
Emerging from the pandemic, DARKER is a melancholic trio that weaves hope, longing, and fear into hypnotic electronic ballads. Their album Memento Remixed sounds darker and more immersive than ever and promises an intense musical journey where darkness and light converge.
