About the film
Film veteran Mike van Diem received three Golden Calves for his black comedy For the Girls, including Best Film. Two close friends have owned a holiday house in the Austrian Alps for years. When their teenage daughters become involved in an accident during a shared holiday, the seemingly friendship quickly begins to unravel. Old grievances and suppressed frustrations drive the parents further apart as they hear that one daughter can be saved, but only if the other girl is given up. 

What starts as a moral dilemma turns into an absurd battle full of manipulations and desperate actions where the boundaries of decency blur. Because when it comes to your child, anything goes. Or does it?
