Bricknasty + QUANZA in MEZZ

About the band Bricknasty
The Irish band Bricknasty seamlessly blends R&B, hip-hop, neo-soul, and jazz. What started in 2020 as a chance encounter on SoundCloud between frontman Fatboy and producer Cillian McCauley developed into a full-fledged live band with bassist Dara Abdurahman, drummer Korey Thomas, and saxophonist/keyboardist Louis Younge. 

After their debut EP ‘INA CRUELER’, Bricknasty took a further step in 2024 with the experimental mixtape ‘XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ’. In 2025, they supported Kneecap in Canada, Europe, and America. The band combines an anarchistic musical approach with infectious energy, soulful chords, and soft, blurred vocals. 

About QUANZA 
A lovechild of Jimi Hendrix and N.E.R.D., QUANZA is a genre-crossing Afro-Surinamese artist who fuses black psychedelic rock and hip-hop. With a guitar in hand and a full band behind him, he ignites stages. His music has been embraced by BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, Mixmag, and Patta. Jazz magazine Jazzism and Gitarist praise him for his originality. 

He produced and featured on the opening track of Bnnyhunna’s acclaimed project ‘ECHOES OF PRAYER’, which later won an Edison Award. His contribution was even mentioned in Rolling Stone Africa, underscoring that QUINZA is an act to watch.
