Breda Jazz Festival at Café Lievense

During the Breda Jazz Festival, things really heat up at Café Lievense! Every day features live music to enjoy during the Netherlands' biggest jazz event.

Café Lievense is this year part of the Breda Jazz Festival. As an official venue, they have an extra special programme. From Thursday to Sunday, various bands and musicians will be performing in the beer gardens from the afternoon. The perfect place to enjoy live music just outside the heart of the city centre.

Thursday 14 May
15:00 - 16:30 - Bluestalkers (ranging from shuffles, slow blues to jump and funky blues)
17:15 - 18:45 - Mollies Jazz Bunch (songs by e.g. Junie Cobb, Tiny Parham, Johnny Wiggs, Jelly Roll Morton and Jimmy Luncford)
19:30 - 21:00 - Kuifje & Kornuiten (a mix of the biggest soul hits and dance classics, but with a raw edge)

Friday 15 May
15:00 - 16:30
- The Louds (southern soul with excursions into blues or chicano)
17:15 - 18:45 - Charlie & Welfare (quirky combination of rock, Rhythm & blues, country and soul)
19:30 - 21:00 - Starfisch Soulstew (soul, funk and feelgood vibes. Expect danceable grooves, juicy riffs and a healthy dose of energy)

Saturday 16 May
15:00 - 16:30 - Mous & Co (a mix of New Orleans, Swing and a touch of Folk)
17:30 - 19:00 - Sin City Seven
20:00 - 21:30 - Mike's Dixie Gang (uptempo swing, beautiful harmonic lines)

Sunday 17 May
13:00 - 14:30 - Southern Pearl (songs like ‘Moten Swing’ in the Count Basie style, ‘Puttin on the Ritz’ in an arrangement by the Pasadena Orchestra, Dixieland tunes like ‘That’s a Plenty’. ‘Midnight in Moscow’ and ‘Miss Celie’s Blues’)
15:00 - 16:30 - Dirty Groundhog (a mix of wailing slow blues, steaming mid-tempo grooves and energetic tracks)
17:00 - 18:30 - Amy Amy Amy (an intimate tribute band to Amy Winehouse, with an acoustic approach, enriched with elements of soul, funk and jazz)
