Book presentation: A dolende libertijn

On Friday 21 November 2025 at 16:00, Peter van de Steenoven will present his new historical novel Een Dolende Libertijn at Het Gele Huis. The story is largely set in the early nineteenth-century Princenhage and is inspired by the history of the last lord of castle De Emer.

Peter van de Steenoven has been active for 35 years in secondary education in Dordrecht as a teacher and school principal. Since his retirement, he has focused among other things on historical research into Breda in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
