Bike tour Adriaan van Campen | Gilde De Baronie

Around 1780, Adriaan van Campen was the terror of the Barony. Over 17 years, he wrote about 100 arson reports. With these, he terrified the farmers around Breda. If you didn't pay, on a grim night your farm would go up in flames. Eventually, Adriaan was caught and executed in a gruesome manner.

The cycling tour of Gilde De Baronie takes us 60 kilometers past various farms in the region where Adriaan delivered his arson reports in the dead of night. Cycle and look, listen and shudder.
