Information

About the event
During Battle of the Bands, various acts compete against each other in short, energetic sets. Each round determines which bands progress to the final. The performances range from rock to indie and from alternative pop to electronically influenced live acts.

Line-up

Hardhout
Hardhout is a young, energetic band from Utrecht that combines the raw power of rock with the infectious groove of funk. Under the motto GROOVE. GRIT. GUITARS., Hardhout is building an intense live show full of guitars and emotion, with a sound that will not let go of you.

Bloody Mama
Bloody Mama delivers distinctive heavy, psychedelic, and bluesy hard rock, packaged in their own style: Velvet Rock. Live, this translates into raw, energetic, and theatrical shows that bring the spirit of the '60s and '70s to life in a modern way. The band is accompanied by Pablo van de Poel (DeWolff), who also mixes and masters their new material.

MEN
MEN has existed since summer 2020 and proves that age does not determine impact. With an average age of 16 years, the band develops its own rock style full of catchy melodies, original lyrics, groovy bass lines, tight rhythms, and melodic guitars. Live, MEN is known for an energetic and surprisingly tight performance that repeatedly wins over the audience.

Bring The Joints
Bring The Joints is a live hip-hop band, founded in early 2022 by Ahih Jaihi (rap/vocals, guitar) and Fretless Jane (bass). With changing drummers and guest musicians, the band transforms hip-hop into an organic live sound full of guitar work, deep bass grooves, and expressive drums. Their style draws from boombap, lofi, trip-hop, roots reggae, dub, and psychedelic ambient.
