Battle of the Bands Breda: Battle 3

About the event
During the Battle of the Bands, various acts perform against each other in short, energetic sets. Each round determines which bands proceed to the final. The performances range from rock to indie and from alternative pop to electronically influenced live acts.  

Line-up

New Dawn 
New Dawn was formed in 2022 from the desire to start anew. Frontman Jelle Bijnen launched a solo project and found in Loek Bijnen, Senna Trompetter, and Teun Lemmens the right people to bring his musical vision to life live. What started as an experiment grew into a close-knit band with its own energetic pop-rock sound. 

The Wildfires
The Wildfires is a young rock band from Schagen, consisting of four driven eighteen-year-olds giving new fire to classic rock. With their debut EP Sekhmet’s Return (November 2024) and influences from the ’70s and ’90s — from Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix to Red Hot Chili Peppers — the band developed its own sound full of screaming guitars, heavy grooves, and swinging melodies. 

Liquid Desert
Liquid Desert was formed when three musicians — Cas, Zilt, and Duncan — found each other after the breakup of previous bands, sharing one common drive: to continue where others had stopped. What began as a trio expanded into an ever-growing formation, soon to be strengthened by Zilver on guitar for extra punch and layers. With their debut album SHOP LIFT, now available on all streaming services, Liquid Desert shows that their raw rock sound reaches beyond demos alone. 

Anna van Zon
Anna van Zon is an emerging Dutch-language pop/folk singer-songwriter who, together with her band formed at the Rock City Institute, delivers intimate and captivating live performances. In her music, Anna combines sensitive, relatable lyrics with powerful arrangements, enriched by harmonies and subtle, sometimes experimental backing tracks. H
