Augustus Carillon Month

Summer evenings in Breda become magical with the weekly carillon concert at the Grote Toren. Every Thursday evening from 7.00 pm, live carillon music can be enjoyed. A varied programme with a different carillon player each week.

The Klokkenluidersgilde Breda sets the tone with a festive introduction starting at 6.45 pm before each concert. 
The concerts can be listened to in the centre of Breda. The terrace of the Foodhall is a lovely spot for this. A programme is also distributed here. After the concerts, there is a meet & greet with the carillon player on the terrace of de Bruine Pij on Kerkplein. 

New this year is that the Heuvelcarillon is also involved in the August Carillon Month. 

Programme:

• 17.30 - 18.00 hours: carillon concert at the Heuvelcarillon, Heuvelplein
• 18.45 - 19.00 hours: cloc k sounding by the Klokkenluidersgilde of the Grote Toren
• 19.00 - 20.00 hours: carillon concert from the Grote Toren.

These carillon players perform during Carillon Month:

• 7 August: Oleksandra Makarova (Ukraine)
• 14 August: city carillonist Paul Maassen -music from the movies & series
• 21 August: Malgosia Fiebig (city carillonist Utrecht)
• 28 August: soirée in collaboration with Begijnhof with carillonist Tommy van Doorn. After the carillon concert, there will be a performance by vocal ensemble Boca Bella in the gardens of the Begijnhof. To register, please contact info@begijnhofbreda.nl
