Information

Tia van Dijke (Eindhoven, 1950) studied sculpture at the St. Joost Academy in Breda and glass art at the Rietveld Academy. Thanks to the BKR scheme, she was able to continue her work and stayed partly in Italy from 1981 to 1986, where she worked with marble and bronze. Upon returning to the Netherlands, she studied anatomy with Prof. Van Doornmalen. Since 1987 she has been working from home and in 2012 founded Stichting Atelier 146. Her work ranges from abstract to figurative and combines materials such as bronze, marble, and wood. Her style is meditative and seeks balance, beauty, and recognition.

Trees Brekelmans (Breda, 1956) began her art education later in life at IKO in Hoogstraten, after having worked for years at Kunstuitleen Arto Imago. Her final project, based on old Super 8 films, resulted in her first solo exhibition “Open Your Eyes” in 2019. She has since participated in various exhibitions. Trees finds inspiration in nature, especially in trees. From her studio near the Krabbenbossen, she creates abstract works centred around structure and colour. She is also musically inclined and released a CD.
