According to Mary Magdalene - The Passion story seen through her eyes
Information
Would-be, beloved, apostle of the apostles? Mary Magdalene is the least described and most interpreted Biblical figure.
Her Gospel discovered in 1896 brought a revelation in dialogue form. But who was she really? In the programme According to Mary Magdalene, she is given a voice.
The Dutch-Kosovan author Vera Morina has written a modern story for this purpose, in which not the myth, but the human being takes centre stage. Actress and singer Lucretia van der Vloot tells this story from Mary’s perspective: as a woman, believer, and apostle. Including new music by Monique Krüs and Henrik Ødegaard, performed by The Netherlands Bach Consort.
Together, this forms an intense quest for truth, autonomy, and a voice long thought to be lost.
