Accessibility Week: Guided tour of Kasteel van Breda for visually impaired and blind people
Information
This special tour is a collaboration between the Stichting Historische Verzamelingen van de KMA, the Stichting KUBES (KUnstd en Kultuur voor Blinden en Slechtzienden), and Breda Gelijk.
To give participants a good impression of the castle grounds, a relief map has been created. This map makes the buildings and surroundings tangible to touch. The tours, which start with the relief map, are led by guides from Gilde de Baronie. With tips from experienced experts, they have learned how to adapt the tour for people with visual impairments or blindness.
Highlights of the tour
- House of Brecht with the Puffiuszaal
- The Doves and Grenade Tower (Spaniard's Gate)
- Inner courtyard
- Knights' Hall
- Nassau Room

This tour will be offered more frequently, but the first time is on Monday 6 October, at the beginning of Accessibility Week.
After a brief official programme, the first tour will take place.
