Serious?! is the artist alias of Maarten van ‘t Veer, a Dutch-language rapper who mixes hip-hop with elements of cabaret. His lyrics are sharp, sometimes cynical, and honestly portray student life and the hectic world that comes with it. For some of his songs, he drew inspiration from works by the Breda artist Sef Peeters, who is also featured in the exhibition.
