5-Star Tuesday at Filmhuis Botanique Breda: Cold War

There are films that have received incredibly positive reviews, but are still too often overlooked – or that you simply missed. To give you one last chance to see these films on the big screen, Filmhuis Botanique  Breda screens a film every last Tuesday of the month that has been lavished with five-star reviews.

This time it is Cold War by Paweł Pawlikowski. 

About Cold War: 

Following his Oscar-winning film Ida (2013), director Pawlikowski once again presents a tragic slice of Polish history in stylish black and white. This time it is a love story, loosely based on his parents’ relationship and set in the 1950s. Musician Wiktor (Kot), leader of a folk group, discovers the free-spirited singer Zula (Kulig) and falls head over heels for her. Thus begins a long-lasting romance that will be tested by heated emotions, political entanglements and fate.
