Zuyd

Since October 2009, Stefan & Wendy Dirkx, together with their team, have been welcoming guests to Restaurant Zuyd. What once started on the Ginnekenweg in Breda South found a new home in 2025 in the center of Breda, on the Pasbaan. Here, Zuyd found its home in a characteristic municipal monument from 1900: a former coach house that was known for years as Café Het Hijgend Hert.

After an intensive renovation, Stefan and Wendy, together with their experienced team, have brought not only the concept but also the familiar name ‘Zuyd’ to this special location.

A mix of contemporary and classic influences, warm colors, and sustainable materials make up the interior. Cozy corners, comfortable bar armchairs, and inviting sofas accommodate over 40 guests. During the summer months, the sunny terrace, located in a car-free zone, invites you to enjoy a delightful outdoor lunch, drinks, or dinner. The menu offers à la carte dishes with which you can create your own lunch or dinner, as well as surprise menus with varying numbers of courses. The fine wine list and carefully curated wine pairings complete the culinary experience.
